Hey mamas and mamas to be!!! I have been fantasizing about having a double stroller with all the accessories ever since we bought BABY JOGGER CITY SELECT for Koko. I used this stroller from birth till now with her and I love it! The basket is so large I used it as my shopping cart at the grocery store the entire time Koko was in her infant car seat.
I was able to put $120 of groceries in the basket! I am also reusing our CYBEX ATON 2 car seat, I love the easy install in the car and the extra supportive load leg of the base. The Cybex attaches to the city select using the MAXI COSI ADAPTER
Now I get to use the stroller again but I will admittedly have to struggle with a fiercely independent toddler in tow. This is where the GLIDER BOARD comes in for the Hail Mary!(hopefully, I am using that football term properly) If she won’t sit in the seat or walk nicely next to me then she sure will help mama push the stroller while riding on her glider board! Also, very important, in order to use the stroller as a double, you need the MOUNTING BRACKETS.
The DELUXE PRAM was something I really wanted with my first baby but felt it was a frivolous purchase so we skipped it… Well, this time I actually see myself needing it. Imagine taking new baby and toddler for a walk- new baby falls asleep toddler wants to run around the yard or just keep playing. I will be so thankful that I can remove the pram with my sleeping newborn laid out comfy inside and let him snooze where it’s appropriate. I can’t tell you how many times I wheeled my stroller into my living room with Koko inside and felt so guilty for making her sleep in a chair during her nap. The deluxe pram is more money than the regular but once you see them side by side you will understand. The deluxe has gorgeous fabric and a comfy pad for baby, I actually thought it was so nice I could (but I am not) use it as my bassinet! The only CON is that it’s huge and the only way I could figure out how to have two seats on the stroller along with the pram was to do it as pictured above, so that means the toddler faces in instead of out which will probably get old very fast… but my toddler hardly sits in any stroller so I am keeping the pram and my toddler can walk or ride the glider board.
All of these upgrades cost quite a bit of money but its worth the investment, I think. Going anywhere with a two-year-old and a newborn is going to be a challenge, if I am not babywearing then I will most certainly have my stroller available to help me out.
