3 tips for getting the most out of your workout

When I started working out routinely a few months ago I really needed to kick myself in the ass to get going. There is no other way of saying it. I can proudly say now that I work out 3 times a week every week. I am share 3 tips for getting the most out of your workout. Whether you want to work out at home or go to the gym, these 3 techniques will help you!

Start your day on the right foot.

For me working out in the morning is critical. I need to start my day on the right foot by eating a healthy breakfast. I make my morning drink, and protein drink and head to the gym after dropping my daughter at school. The first thing you need to do to get the most of your workout is start your day on the right foot. Eat healthy and lean and drink water. Don’t just wing it.

Going to the gym can be daunting! Working out at home can be even more daunting, especially for someone who is just starting out. Don’t just wing it. Download a fitness app like FitOn APP and follow along with the video workouts. When I started working out routinely I began with a fitness app at home. Ignore the scale.

I am sure you have heard this before but it is true. There is no reason to judge yourself by a number on a scale. As long as your BMI is healthy than you should not focus on weight. Focus on muscle tone and how you feel in your clothing. I will share a BMI chart below. Learning about the body mass index scale truly helped me learn what a healthy weight was and gave me confidence to ignore the number. Set a goal to work out a specific number of times per week, or month, instead of focusing on dropping pounds. The goal is to create a healthy lifestyle and work out routine that allows you to get the most out of every work out.

Often times I go to the gym and only have a short amount of time to spend. In order for me to get the most out of my workout I make sure that I have as much energy and mental focus as possible.
