My hair has been a lot of things, finally I have the hair of my dreams. I should show you guys what my hair looked like when I got married. Legit box died as bright blonde as I could get it… That was about 6 years ago, so I have come a long way. My hair has been tortured over the years. After having kids and bleaching my hair for years I was left with fine hair that was thin and brittle. I recently found Hairdreams extensions and I am answering all of your questions in todays post!
My solution was extensions, I have been wearing extensions for over 10 years. I started with the clip in versions. These are nice because you can take them out and wear them when needed. I loved mine so I wore them every day… I ended up getting bald spots in the place the clips was positioned. So I stopped wearing extensions and tried to accept my natural hair. For a couple years I didn’t wear any so my hair definitely improved, but I missed the length and got back into extensions a few years ago… I knew my hair was fragile so I went with tape ins. I loved them because they laid flat, they were so comfortable but I was having a hard time getting into the salon to move them up. After Kalvin was born I didn’t have the luxury of being away from him for hours at a time. It is a long process removing and retaping extensions.
So I found Hairdreams! When I visited Salon Beaucage in Boston Ma I had the lovely Suzie Mello put in my extensions. She is a certified trainer at Hairdreams, she used the laserbeamer nano to put on the extensions. This process is not long at all… I was surprised! She had my hair put it, cut and styled in only an hour!
I have been wearing them now for about 6 months. I love them so much! I recently had a new set put it and I am still loving them. I am able to style my hair exactly the same as I always did. I can brush my hair like normal and my hair always looks good, even if it is just thrown up in a bun! The added volume is a game changer for everyone, even if you have a bob. My Hairdreams extensions make me feel so much more confident and put together. I don’t mind using a little dry shampoo and going 4-5 days without washing my hair. The extensions hold a curl really well so you would never know if my hair was dirty. It always looks fresh.
When I had Suzie remove my first set so she could color my hair and install a new set I was SHOCKED at how much my hair had grown, and how much regrowth I was seeing in my bald spots… I literally have a a few inches of new hair at the back of my neck where the hair has started growing back. So excited!
If you are considering extensions I would suggest you research them all and get consults with stylists! They can be different prices at different places and some will even charge you for custom coloring and styling. So ask questions and know what you are getting when you go to your appointment. Keep in mind how much time you will need for upkeep and make your choice based on these factors. Many people will just do what is cheapest, and in this situation you get what you pay for… You will end up paying more money in the long run repairing your damaged hair than if you used a really good hair extension the first time.
When I got my extensions in they were tight against my scalp and loosened after a few days. I keep them hydrated and protected with quality hair care products from Hairdreams and Chi. I keep a brush in my handbag and brush my hair as often as I can to prevent tangles. I sleep with my hair in a loose pony tail and wake up in the morning and I am able to get up and go. I love it!! I know a lot of you are curious about price, I received my set of extensions complimentary from Hairdreams as compensation for this review. I was told that they typically cost between 900-1400 depending how much hair you need. They last about 4 -6 months. They can be cut, colored, curled, straightened, whatever… They airdry like a beachy mermaid look and its so cute scrunched with a little hair gel in it.
Thank you Hairdreams for sponsoring this post.
