Blog posts about all things fashion. I’m a casual, busy mom who loves to get out and spice things up a bit! My style is affordable with the occasional splurge on designer accessories. Being a stay-at-home mom can be boring, but I believe that makeup and clothing is a way for us to stay in touch with our pre-baby personalities and keep up our confidence even when we are dishing out goldfish and covered in spit up. I love all pink sneakers and a good pair of ripped denim jeans!
Hey! So I just want to talk about a few things that can totally help you own your mindset. It wasn’t until I started my friendship with the blogging community that I even thought about someones mindset. There are so many women joining forces empowering eachother right now, and it is amazing! So I was inspired and started to become more self aware. I think that making lifestyle changes is a huge commitment and if you are going to work on your mind, you need to have a meeting with your brain and make sure she is going to be open to this change… think of it like starting a diet! I made a few changes to my lifestyle about 2 months ago, and I am excited to tell you just how I managed to own my mindset after a very serious battle with PPD. Continue reading →
Collagen is often referred to as the glue that holds the body together. After age 20 collagen breaks down and we begin to see fine lines and wrinkles. Later in life, we notice more signs of aging in our body’s. We even begin to feel pain in our joints. Cells inside our bodies rely on collagen. Collagen can smooth muscle and improve the appearance of your body. (see the leg photo at the bottom of this post.)

Modere was recently picked up by some top bloggers and I am blowing the whistle on this before it gains any more momentum! Modere is using this influencer marketing strategy to increase sales. I want to share with you what I discovered during my personal research. That will convince you to believe you will waste your time and money if you buy Modere.
Modere uses one type of collagen, from hydrolyzed chicken cartilage extract.
I will be totally transparent, I have been using Joyome collagen for several months and have seen its benefits on myself, my friends, and my family. When I saw one of my favorite bloggers talking about Modere I ran to my computer to do some research. Steam started coming from my ears and I am here now trying to get this out before her following of over 1 million is fooled into purchasing this product.
I have studied the internet and product labels of many collagen-containing ingredient labels. After my personal research, I stand behind the Joyome Collagen made by Plexus.

Here are some common questions with Answers from the certified board
How do bovine and marine collagen differ and work together?
Bovine and marine are both beneficial forms of collagen – marine collagen is made from fish skin, while bovine collagen is made from cow skin or dermis. Both are beneficial in supporting beauty from within; both provide great health benefits. Bovine and marine collagen are both rich in the amino acid, hydroxyproline. Bovine collagen is a rich source of amino acids and is a strong source of Types I and III collagen. It has high levels of collagen-specific peptides which are recognized by collagen-producing cells as a signal to stimulate the body’s innate collagen production. Marine collagen is very bioavailable and focuses on Type I collagen. It is a highly beneficial beauty collagen source. The collagen peptides have antioxidant properties, which are important for supporting skin protection.*
What is the difference between the types of collagen?
Type I collagen is the most prevalent type of collagen in the body and is touted as a beauty collagen. It is highly recommended for hair, skin and nails benefits. Type I collagen is a major structural component of the skin.*
Type II is a more specialized collagen, as it is the main component of cartilage health.
Type III collagen is another beauty collagen. It is the second most abundant type in your skin. It is often used with Type I collagen to support skin elasticity and hydration.*
Joyōme Multi-Action Collagen Complex features highly-bioavailable forms of hydrolyzed Types I and III collagen to provide targeted beauty benefits and head-turning results by working hand in hand with our other carefully-selected, age-defying skincare ingredients. These collagen types are also rich in the unique amino acid hydroxyproline, which contains peptides that help naturally activate the body’s collagen synthesis pathways.*
In Joyōme Multi-Action Collagen Complex, is the bovine collagen sourced from grass-fed, disease-free cows?
The bovine collagen is sourced from grass-fed cattle that are free of diseases (such as BSE). Plexus only uses ingredients from reputable suppliers that meet the Plexus Standard of Excellence.
Where is the Marine collagen sourced from?
The marine collagen peptides featured in Joyōme Multi-Action Collagen Complex are sustainably sourced from wild-caught salmon.
How absorbable are the collagen peptides in the body?
The collagen in Joyōme™ Multi-Action Collagen Complex is hydrolyzed making it even more absorbable. Non-hydrolyzed collagen peptides are larger, making them more difficult for your body to
utilize. Hydrolyzed collagen features a lower molecular weight so your body can absorb and utilize these peptides more easily.
Medical & Safety Concerns
Does collagen contain any allergens?
Yes. Joyōme Multi-Action Collagen Complex does contain fish (salmon) and wheat seed extract in the form of ceramides. The wheat seed extract has been processed to allow the Dietary Supplement
to meet the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for gluten free.
Can you take Joyōme Multi-Action Collagen Complex with other products?
Yes, definitely! We recommend taking Joyōme Multi-Action Collagen Complex alongside the Joyōme® AM and PM serums daily to deliver clean, simple, effective skincare. The serums work hand-in-hand with collagen to address both internal and external factors contributing to aging for truly age-defying results!
In addition, we recommend pairing Joyōme Multi-Action Collagen Complex with Plexus Slim® to help hydrate and promote healthy fatty acids in the skin, Plexus XFactor Plus™ to help lighten skin, maintain healthy collagen levels through vitamin C, and help defend against free radical damage caused by environmental factors.*

We are all wearing more comfortable clothing these days. No matter what I work wear style looks like, our home fashion commonly includes comfort! When shopping this spring there are must have comfort pieces to include in your spring wardrobe.
Cotton linen tops are my favorite! I love a sheer linen with cami or bralette underneath. I love a blazer that can transition from day to night. When I shopped recently to update my spring wardrobe I came across the CAMP SHIRT. When I talk about checking all the boxes the CAMP SHIRT does it all.
LOVE IT! Linked a few of my faves. Additionally this spring a comfortable must have is the Bermuda short, and pull on jeans! I am excited to jump into a pair of pull on jeans and I can easily and comfortable run around the house after the kids while looking chic. MOM WIN.
Shop my favs, I linked items I love. I wish I could have got more photos of these outfits, but quarantine life… I will try and update when I get a chance but for now, this mirror shot will have to do.
Its the first day of Spring! What is your favorite item of clothing you break out in spring??? Spring jackets are my fav! I just love how you can make any outfit pop with a cute lightweight jacket! Right now retailers are really incentivizing online shopping. So today I am sharing some spring jackets that are on sale now at Nordstrom.
What is your favorite spring jacket? Leather moto, trench, blazer, packable puffer, fleece, camo, colorful, linen… good lord I want them all. To be completely honest I only got to page 6 of the women’s jacket sale section because I ordered two new jackets.
So I linked all the ones that I loved and had to get to work writing this post for you… if I get time I will DEF be taking advantage of this sale. I plan to order shoes, swimsuits, and a million other things I can’t even name yet. I just NEED it all.
celebrate the first day of spring by shopping for the sitewide sale at Nordstrom! Spring jackets are my favorite and I can’t choose which I like the best. Can YOU?
I think a leather jacket is a closet staple that will remain in your closet year-round. From fall to spring you can transition a leather jacket regardless if its black or not. I bought this faux leather jacket last year and have recommended it tons of times. Its amazing quality from Top Shop and its also affordable. which faux leather jacket would you buy?
We ride our Harley in the summer and this is the jacket I wear, it’s def my fav purchase of 2019. When I get dressed to go out on date night my leather jacket compliments my dressed up look and works if I want to dress up sweats. 2020 has brought the leather jacket game. I am looking for a white faux leather jacket!
Thank you JOHNSON’S® for sponsoring this post. Kourtney and I reviewed the product and gave our honest feedback and style advice.
Hey, mamas! Today, I am going to blow your mind with statistics… 1,640. Kourtney has had just about 1,640 baths in her life. Some were more enjoyable than others, but one major factor was always the same. I washed her hair with JOHNSON’Sshampoo. Once her hair started growing around age 2, I noticed that it was curly. By age 3, she had the most gorgeous curls, and now everywhere we go, people compliment her for her gorgeous curls. She has never had a real hair cut. I gave her a little straight snip across the bottom when she was 2, which evened out her hair and gave me a little baby hair keepsake.
When we go to Walmart, Kourtney loves to pick up her shampoo. She actually likes to check out all the shampoos in the baby needs section of the personal care aisle, which is where we find her shampoo. The new Curl Defining Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner byJOHNSON’S® is awesome! I love how easy it makes styling her hair. The leave-in conditioner gives her curls strength, shine, and 24-hour definition—which is exactly what she needs.
Kourtney is 4, and part of being 4 is all about rebellion. I don’t always get the opportunity to sit and blow dry her hair or spend time braiding. The JOHNSON’S® Curl Defining Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner that can be found at Walmart makes styling curly hair a breeze. I wash her hair at night and use the JOHNSON’S® Curl Defining Shampoo to massage her hair clean. Rinsing her hair is stress-free because of JOHNSON’S® consistent formulas featuring No More Tears® (Gentle). It’s also hypoallergenic; it contains no parabens, phthalates, sulfates, or dyes; and is Ophthalmologist & Pediatrician tested.
When Kourtney goes to bed at night, I always braid her hair; that keeps it from getting tangled. In the morning, we decide if we are wearing a simple bow or a braid. She likes the half up braid but gets annoyed fast if I fuss.
Kourtney’s hair is naturally curly and a little frizzy. When she wakes up in the morning, I use a dab of the JOHNSON’S® Curl Defining Leave-In Conditioner, which smooths any frizz. After sectioning off the top layer of her hair, I separate it into 3 sections and begin twisting to make a braid. I love the way the clear elastics work, especially for school hairstyles, because they won’t fall out. I tie her braid with a clear elastic and then bubble the braid by separating each piece a little bit. Loosening the braid a bit makes it look a little more boho, which we love. When we want to jazz it up, we part her hair to one side, braid the section with the most hair, and then add a pretty bow to clip the bang portion back. It looks so cute and I am so envious that her hair is so easy to style. I love this JOHNSON’S® Curl Defining Shampoo and Conditioner.*
