Curl-defining toddler hairstyle for any occasion

Thank you JOHNSON’S® for sponsoring this post. Kourtney and I reviewed the product and gave our honest feedback and style advice.

Hey, mamas! Today, I am going to blow your mind with statistics… 1,640. Kourtney has had just about 1,640 baths in her life. Some were more enjoyable than others, but one major factor was always the same. I washed her hair with JOHNSON’Sshampoo. Once her hair started growing around age 2, I noticed that it was curly. By age 3, she had the most gorgeous curls, and now everywhere we go, people compliment her for her gorgeous curls. She has never had a real hair cut. I gave her a little straight snip across the bottom when she was 2, which evened out her hair and gave me a little baby hair keepsake.

When we go to Walmart, Kourtney loves to pick up her shampoo. She actually likes to check out all the shampoos in the baby needs section of the personal care aisle, which is where we find her shampoo. The new Curl Defining Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner byJOHNSON’S® is awesome! I love how easy it makes styling her hair. The leave-in conditioner gives her curls strength, shine, and 24-hour definition—which is exactly what she needs.

Kourtney is 4, and part of being 4 is all about rebellion. I don’t always get the opportunity to sit and blow dry her hair or spend time braiding. The JOHNSON’S® Curl Defining Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner that can be found at Walmart makes styling curly hair a breeze. I wash her hair at night and use the JOHNSON’S® Curl Defining Shampoo to massage her hair clean. Rinsing her hair is stress-free because of JOHNSON’S® consistent formulas featuring No More Tears® (Gentle). It’s also hypoallergenic; it contains no parabens, phthalates, sulfates, or dyes; and is Ophthalmologist & Pediatrician tested.

When Kourtney goes to bed at night, I always braid her hair; that keeps it from getting tangled. In the morning, we decide if we are wearing a simple bow or a braid. She likes the half up braid but gets annoyed fast if I fuss.

Kourtney’s hair is naturally curly and a little frizzy. When she wakes up in the morning, I use a dab of the JOHNSON’S® Curl Defining Leave-In Conditioner, which smooths any frizz. After sectioning off the top layer of her hair, I separate it into 3 sections and begin twisting to make a braid. I love the way the clear elastics work, especially for school hairstyles, because they won’t fall out. I tie her braid with a clear elastic and then bubble the braid by separating each piece a little bit. Loosening the braid a bit makes it look a little more boho, which we love. When we want to jazz it up, we part her hair to one side, braid the section with the most hair, and then add a pretty bow to clip the bang portion back. It looks so cute and I am so envious that her hair is so easy to style. I love this JOHNSON’S® Curl Defining Shampoo and Conditioner.*

Kevin Komosa Enterprises LLC our family business

Hi everyone,

I am sitting in my living room with coffee on a beautiful Sunday morning. Thinking about my husband’s business and how I have not shared too much about it, here on my blog. This post is a little backstory about Kevin Komosa Enterprises and how it started off. How Kevin and I worked together to build this incredibly blessed life.

So I met Kevin Komosa and he was an extremely hard worker. He was building his landscaping business and working with another company doing construction and excavation. I encouraged Kevin to go on his own 100% and told him I would help him the entire way. He and I grew very fast, soon I was driving a landscape truck and trailer mowing commercial sites, and training employees to take over various roles.

As the years went on Kevin Komosa Enterprises grew. Our team grew, our equipment grew and now we are a  successful construction, excavation company from Western MA. The point of my story is that everyone starts somewhere. I am so proud of Kevin. I know regardless if he met me or not he would have been successful. However, I like to take credit for supporting him, physically, emotionally in every way. Still to this day even when I was nursing a newborn, I would get up and make him a breakfast sandwich, coffee and pack a cooler for him to take to work. Love and support your family and you will see amazing things happen. SO proud! komosa005komosa036komosa080komosa081komosa089komosa091komosa103

Thank you to for kindly sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.

Welcome to my SheDen! I did not go into this project planning a SheDen. I didn’t get the name until I sat down one night, alone, cozy on our new furniture that we got from Raymour & Flanigan. It truly felt like my dream space. So I brainstormed a name and came up with SheDen. Instead of a SheShed. Do you love the name as much as I do?

I am so excited and in love with the furniture set we got at Raymour & Flanigan. My new SheDen. When we were building our home we designed this little den to be a cozy adult spot. I imagined having wine, cozy by the fire and chatting with our friends while the kids watched movies and played in the family room. Ironically, for the last 2 years, we allowed the kids to take over our den. It was a convenient place for all the toys while Kalvin was a baby. It was easy to baby proof and gate off to keep him safe.

Kevin and I decided that it was time for the kid’s toys to go upstairs. So we stopped at the Raymour & Flanigan showroom one night. We met Dianna who must have instinctively known what we would like. She was so friendly. She showed us the Raymour & Flanigan Duchess collection first. Then gave us a tour of the store and let us roam around, upstairs and down. There was so much to see. I imagined all of the pieces finding a place in our home. After debating, Kevin really wanted the duchess chaise lounge and I knew that this was going to be the perfect furniture set for our den. I love the details on every piece. The duchess Accent chair has an amazing snake print on the sides and a matching pillow.

Check out the Before and After

Raymour & Flanigan delivered the furniture on Sunday which was within a couple days of our order! They set up everything for me and the entire experience was perfect. I like to call this spot my SheDen. It is a space that I escape when I need a break. I love sitting on the duchess chaise lounge at the end of the night. It’s so nice to have a spot that I find tranquil after spending all my days in the chaos of the kitchen and family room with the kids. When friends join us on the duchess sofa and it is even better! Everyone loves the duchess cocktail ottoman. I set out a serving tray with snacks and everyone loves how cozy it is.

Raymour & Flanigan is the number 1 furniture store in the Northeast. When our furniture was delivered by the Raymour & Flanigan delivery team nothing was in a box, It was fully assembled and carefully wrapped. I asked how and why. They told me about the inhouse recycling program that Raymour & Flanigan is proud of. Here is what is recycled in a typical year…

15 million lbs

of cardboard

800,000 lbs

of styrofoam

1 million lbs

of plastic

300,000 lbs

of paper

Raymour & Flanigan is an awesome company and I love shopping where I know brands focus on ethical and moral values. They truly stand in a category all their own, which is why they are number 1 in the Northeast and number 6 in the country. Raymour & Flanigan offers everything you need, with a style and budget for everyone.

I have a few more projects to do in our home and knowing that I can shop instore or online at Raymour & Flanigan makes it especially convenient. They have 130 locations in the Northeast. You might as well stop in and visit a showroom. See the different spaces and plan your next remodel with Raymour & Flanigan. Take advantage of the furniture financing program with options that will fit any budget.

I love the elegance of this Duchess collection and the details on each piece is gorgeous. The duchess cocktail ottoman is the perfect cozy centerpiece in this room. This SheDen from Raymour and Flannigan is a dream space. We have a few projects on the horizon and I am ready to design our next space with the help of Raymour & Flanigan.

Carbon Monoxide education for kids

This post is sponsored by First Alert, but all opinions are my own.
Hey mamas!

Time is flying! I have been so busy lately my brain feels like its on overload. I am trying to remember to move my family’s Elf On The Shelf but I admit I have forgotten a few times. I am working on making up for my lack of creativity by incorporating learning and games each week. This week we learned about fire and carbon monoxide safety. Kids are never too young to learn the importance of fire safety. My dad was a fireman, I have a lot of stories I could tell you about how my dad made sure we were always on our toes… I know my dad will be proud that I am partnering with First Alert in order to protect myself and my family I used our sweet Elf Rosie to raise awareness and educate my kids about carbon monoxide safety. Rosie gifted us the First Alert 10-Year Sealed Battery Carbon Monoxide Alarm and included some information that I read to my kids.

Carbon Monoxide is known as the silent killer. Carbon monoxide is an invisible, odorless deadly gas that can be produced by any fuel-burning device. The only way to detect CO in your home is by installing a CO alarm. The First Alert 10-year Sealed Battery Carbon Monoxide Alarm detects dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. This stylish CO alarm is designed to sit on top of a dresser or tabletop, and it has a backlit digital display that shows temperature and peak levels of CO (when detected). This CO alarm provides hassle-free protection by eliminating the need for battery replacements for 10 years. After 10 years, you will hear an end of life warning, letting you know it is time to replace (alarms don’t last forever and should be replaced at least every 10-years). But, it gets better – No installation is required. (Kevin doesn’t let me put holes in the walls so this was a bonus for me) Simply place the alarm on a tabletop and start protecting your home and family from CO. Not having to worry about hanging the alarm on the wall made it easy for me to buy a First Alert 10-Year Sealed Battery Carbon Monoxide Alarm for all over my home. We live in a large home and we have built-in fire and Carbon Monoxide Alarms but having these backups in areas that have gas operating appliances makes me feel so much safer.

First Alert 10-year Sealed Battery Carbon Monoxide Alarm is the perfect stocking stuffer for family or anyone who might be using gas to heat their home this winter.

Product Features:

Stylish Design with LED Temperature Display

Built-In 10-Year Battery for 10 years of protection

No installation needed (option to install on the wall if you’d like but the main benefit is that there is no installation required, activate it and you are protected for 10-years!)

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, CO poisoning is the number one cause of accidental poisonings in the U.S. Referred to as the “silent killer,” CO is an invisible, odorless and tasteless gas that can only be detected with a CO alarm. Every year, CO poisoning takes the lives of over 400 people, while an additional 50,000 people are treated for it, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – and half of these deaths occur between November and February.

Take the opportunity to use your ELF for fun education and incorporate important lessons like fire safety and the hidden danger of Carbon Monoxide. You can LEARN MORE HERE and PURCHASE the First Alert 10-year Sealed Battery Carbon Monoxide Alarm from Amazon.

I was compensated for this post by First Alert and have used facts and information from their website LINKED HERE. I incorporated my real-life opinion in my blog post and hope that you take an opportunity to double-check your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms after reading this.

gift ideas for any pampered pooch

This blog is sponsored by Tyson True Chews, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have had a dog all my life. I love them and spoil them like my kids. Whenever a birthday or holiday comes I make sure that we give them a gift. They have learned to rip open the paper and are now front and center during any gift exchange helping each recipient open their gift. It is adorable. The kids love it. This year I gave Harley Tyson True Chews. I noticed they were on sale buy one get one free when I was at PetSmart picking up dog food. So I bought an early gift and gave one to him now. He ripped open the paper and when I opened the bag all the dogs went crazy for what was inside. (The smell of grilled chicken filled the air) Even Kourtney wanted to eat one “they smelled so good,” she said.

I feed the dogs healthy dog food, with limited ingredients and Salmon as the main ingredient. So these chicken treats were extra special for Harley. He could not get enough! I loved that they were soft, not tough like jerky. So I could rip apart a big piece and give him smaller pieces to make them last longer. He would have ate the entire bag, no doubt.

Tyson True Chews are the perfect gift for any dog in your family. These treats are 100% natural, containing no corn wheat or soy, no animal by-products and no artificial flavors or preservatives. Contain no yellow, red, blue dyes. They are packed with protein and made here in the USA. You can find them on (which I LOVE by the way) at your local PetSmart store.

Also can’t help but share some of the additional items that I bought while I was shopping for the dogs. I routinely order from Chewy, I have items that we use regularly all on Autoship and I save a TON of money by getting our prescriptions from them. Ps. Our vet would not price match, so she was super accommodating and every month authorizes the refill and I do not have to do any work at all. Definitely check them out, and don’t forget True Chews while shopping for your pampered pooch

Yummy no-bake Holiday dessert you can make with your toddlers

Hey mama! So if you haven’t already figured out what we are making today this is a recipe that I came up with totally just looking around my kitchen. I am always desperate for creative outlets when I am home with the kids. Sometimes we turn to cooking and the kids love it, BUT I do not love the tantrums when I don’t allow them near the stove. So, this no-bake dessert is perfect for your holiday party. Just make a few hours before you are leaving so it sets up in the fridge.

I am no pro chef, but this did taste yummy. I used all gluten-free ingredients in order to create this vanilla wafer and pudding dessert. I used strawberries for a pop of festivity. The typical recipe calls for banana.

These are the steps to include the kids.

  1. pour the wafers into a ziplock bag (gallon size) and let your toddler beat it up with a meat tenderizer… good luck giving everyone a turn before your cookies turn to dust… try to keep the pieces chunky.
  2. Let the kids make the pudding (mix pudding mix with 2.5 cups of milk) then mix in 1 14 oz can of condensed milk
  3.  stir in half of the whipped cream
  4. get ready to layer, you could use any dish, get creative but remember you need to layer the ingredients
  5.  spread half the wafers on the bottom, layer pudding, strawberries and whipped cream.
  6. allow it to refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Do not make the night before, I would serve within 3 hours of making this dish.

Enjoy! It is always fun giving kids freedom in the kitchen.
